Vadis Gets His First Goal

21/09/15

On-loan Norwich midfielder, Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe scored his first goal in English football to help Rotherham get their first win of the season against Cardiff City on Saturday.

The Millers beat Cardiff 2-1 after ex-City keeper, David Marshall was sent off for the visitors after an off the ball incident.

Vadis stepped up and took the resulting penalty to put Rotherham ahead on 40 minutes. Just five minutes later though and Cardiff were level with a penalty of their own before Matthew Connolly's last minute own goal saw the Millers take all three points.

Tony Andreu also started for Rotherham and played 68 minutes of the game.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Michael Turner scored in a 3-2 win for Sheffield Wednesday against Fulham, scoring the winning goal with a header.
