LEE PELTIER :ayatollah:
A mixed showing from the right-back. He mostly stood up to the test well as the Millers tried to flood down his flank, but a few times he was pulled out of position. Still kept fighting though until that cruel final blow.

MATTHEW CONNOLLY :ayatollah:

Looked devastated after poking the ball into his own net at the end. So unfortunate. There was also almost a costly mistake in the first-half, but apart from that Connolly was again pretty immense for his side.

SEAN MORRISON :ayatollah:
A really busy afternoon for the centre-half as Rotherham pushed hard for the winner against 10-men Cardiff. Balls were frequent into the visitors box and Morrison was on hand to deal with the threat even if he could not help keep the Millers out.

FABIO :ayatollah:

He’s a fans’ favourite, there’s no doubt about that and you can see why. Passionate, committed and enthusiastic. He was good again here, despite the defeat, and won that penalty with a good run just when Cardiff needed a shot in the arm even if it was not to prove enough for a point.

CRAIG NOONE :ayatollah:
He had been knocking on the door since the start of the campaign and got the start here. It was a tough afternoon in many ways. The Millers had dome their homework and doubled up on him for long stretches often leaving Noone nowhere to go and with the sending there was little outlet anyway.

KAGISHO DIKGACOI :ayatollah:

The guy looked out of shape at the start of the season, right now he looks like an imposing figure in the middle of the park. Uncompromising and with some lovely distribution at times too. Has a massive part to play this season.

PETER WHITTINGHAM :ayatollah:
When you want a penalty taken there is no better man than the man who has iced-water it seems running through his veins. All round again some errors, but the City stalwart seems to be growing into the season.

JOE RALLS :ayatollah:

The youngster again ran himself into the ground for the Cardiff cause. It was a battling showing even if at times there was a lack of finesses and a bit of good old footballing wisdom.

JOE MASON :ayatollah:
Had not been having too much impact to be honest in the first-half, but was then the unfortunate fall guy as Marshall was sent off and back-up shot-stopper Simon Moore had to be brought off the bench to face the subsequent penalty.
