' How can Diego Costa get praised for 'playing on the edge' when David Marshall gets crucified for his petulant flick? '

As the debate rages about whether Chelsea star Diego Costa should have been sent-off yesterday, David Marshall gets vilified for far less aggressive behavior.
Chelsea striker Diego Costa is the talk of football today after his 'edgy' performance for Chelsea against Arsenal.
On Match of the Day, Danny Murphy praised the striker for 'playing on the edge' after he had grappled with the face of Laurent Koscielny twice – before barging the Belgian to the ground and standing over him like a crazed Hulk.
Moments later the Spain striker was embarrassingly rolling in agony after Koscielny's mate Gabriel had the audacity to step on his toe.
Meanwhile Cardiff City captain David Marshall was being castigated online for a school yard flick kick on Rotherham's Matt Derbyshire after the experienced striker had spent 30 seconds grabbing hold of the Scot's shirt.
To be fair, it looked as though Marshall showed some restraint. His first thought was probably to barge the former Blackburn striker to the floor, as Costa had done, for his cheek at holding onto his jersey.
Even though Marshall has saved the Bluebirds so many times during his Cardiff career, support for him was virtually non-existent as he faced widespread calls to be stripped of the Cardiff captaincy, and told he should be ashamed of himself, even after he had apologised to his teammates.
After receiving such criticism from his own fans and getting no sympathy from his manager, Marshall must have sat at home open mouthed as the ex Liverpool midfielder said: “I don't see anything wrong in what Costa has done.
“He's an aggressive player and that's good to see.”
And, once they'd seen both incidents on their respective highlights shows, Cardiff fans started to see Marshall's actions in perspective.

David Marshall getting sent off for that is almost as embarrassing as Costa not getting sent off, and Coady's red
