' Sammy Ameobi? '

Do you agree with this?

By Steve Tucker

WHO STOOD OUT? :ayatollah:

Newcastle loanee Sammy Ameobi was given his first Cardiff City start and was the Bluebirds' biggest threat until he was asked to play up top on his own once David Marshall was sent off shortly before half time.

He worked hard did the job he was asked to do and held the ball up to give his struggling team-mates a break when they needed it.

Senior pros Sean Morrison and Kagisho Dikgacoi also led by example when their teammates needed them.

We didn't start well yesterday but then we didn't start well v Huddersfield but went on to grind them down. So I fully believe we'd had won with 11 men yesterday. Morrison does make some silly errors but he wins his headers and I do think he's professional about his job if u forget his off field issues. He has a lack of confidence but that won't improve until the abuse towards him stops i doubt. Onto Charlton now. Come on bluebirds.

I have read on here, people criticising Slade's decision to make changes for the Rotherham game, but I totally disagree, as well as we played against Hull, we never really looked like scoring, the changes he made was to give more teeth to a toothless attack, and if it was not for a moment of lunacy from Marshall, I think we could have taken 3 points

Morrison put in some great blocks and interceptions, but his clearances were poor, always going back to their players instead of launching it into row z.

It was a poor quality game and having watched the full game today by the time Marshall got himself sent off we were in charge and, in my opinion, we would have had way to much for them 11 v 11 over the 90 minutes.

In the 2nd half although we were a man down they didn't have anything other than % football and one hoof ball after another into the box with their fans constantly on thier players backs. Sadly they got the winner from a lucky deflection.

Sometimes you have to do the ugly things first to give you control on the game and by the time Marshall got his marching orders the tide was very much turning in our favour, and although it was a poor quality game any real quality on show was coming from Cardiff.

The game reminded me of Blackpool away last season, which was another low quality game, where the opposition dragged us down to thier level and somehow they managed to win.

Yesterday at a time where we had won the right to play Marshall destroyed all the hard work of shutting them down by getting himself sent off, giving away a penalty and worst of ALL giving them back the belief they could get something out of the game.

DM needs to take a long hard look in the mirror following his 2nd sending off in 6 games and the cost to the team. We all know he is our best goalkeeper but he was missing against Fulham where Simon Moore gifted them a goal and now he has gifted Rotherham a win by acts of petulance.

How many points is that ALREADY this season.
