Highlights of today's game with Rotherham
http://www.skysports.com/football/news/ ... -1-cardiffI've just seen the red card decision for the first time. It looks a bit silly from Marhsall, but no way is that a red card in my view. Pretty poor decision.
Still, if he hadn't have reacted we would have been fine, but the striker shouldn't have been near Marshall in the first place.

Cheers Owain and Yes Red Card looks harsh

What the f**k? How is that a red card or a penalty?

Even though Marshall shouldn't have done it what a stupid decision by the Ref.

Haven't long got back and this sums it up for me. What a pathetic decision, how the linesman or assistant hasn't seen the initial foul I will never know. What Marshall done was a bit naive and you should never give the ref the option in that situation, but that is never a red card. Never in a million years. We didn't play particularly well today, but I think based on the second half performance we warranted a point.
All you idiots saying he needs to be stripped of captaincy need to look at his constant high standard performances throughout tr years. He's been nothing but loyal to this football club. You stick by your players as fans, particularly after this injustice today, not chastise him from your sofas with hearsay rumours of what happened.

Wow, this board has really over exaggerated the incidence. By the way they explained it I thought he genuinely booted the player, that was nothing! Hardly even a foul

Poor decision by the referee to give a penalty there as Derbyshire clearly fouls Marshall first and we should have got a freekick for that. But Marshall hangs his leg out and kicks Derbyshire in retaliation and for that nowadays he is going to get sent off, ask Gabriel at Arsenal because he got sent off yesterday for pretty much the same sort of act.
Have to say the OG was really unlucky as the ball could have gone anywhere.

That footage is inconclusive - if anything you have to conclude that Marshall didn't do an awful lot. Sad thing is that Derbyshire effectively got him sent off by his bogus appeal with "kick out" gestures after the contact.

I honestly do not see what Marshall has done there.
