Just back from the game/Should be stripped

Sat Sep 19, 2015 6:13 pm

Straight to the point. David Marshall should be stripped of the captaincy.

This is the second tie he has struck back in 8 games meaning he will not be available for 6 of our first 11 games. That is not a role of a captain. I recall Steve McPhail doing similar and getting sent off twice against the Jacks. It took him a long time to win the fans back. I now see the same for David Marshall. I certainly will not be singing Scotlands no 1 at him.

The remaining ten on the pitch were awesome but football can be a cruel game. Today we had a fair dose of it. Fabio man of match for me but all 10 pushed him close. I'm not going to go into the game as sometimes its hard to stomach. I certainly think Marshall should be fined and made to pay for the supporters coaches that went today.

Didn't go today but listened on radio, read all the posts that we were dire but your assessment is close to what I heard on the radio which is we were playing ten men away dug in and deserved a point. The posts seem more focused on us losing to the bottom team rather than the most likely reason why, Marshall!! From what I gather stupidity rather than anything else :bluebird:

Ian, I am so very disappointed in Marshall as I have high respect for him.

As to our team battling so well in the 2nd half , were we not playing the worst team in the League and don't most teams give their all when down to 10 men, rem Rotherham have no real quality unlike us who have an abundance

For me, City need to bounce back and win the next couple of games :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
Look forward to seeing you at Derby away :ayatollah:

Well I'm not too sure why Slade change the team from Tuesday night but up to the Marshall incident we were nothing like we played against Hull. To a degree we can say he got it wrong.

The second half Rotherham played the right tactics and that was playing wide against 10 men. They did create some good chances but are just as bad as us up front. Their goal had a touch of luck but they were pressing so got what they deserved.

I'm beginning to see there is very little difference between the top and bottom in the league. The teams with the quality will edge it providing they get the chance to use it. Perhaps that's where we are lacking.
