Marshall cost us 3 points today

Sat Sep 19, 2015 3:56 pm

He's done it twice in the last 9 games

He should now be stripped of the captaincy imo.

A leader should not be getting sent off twice in the last 8 games for kicking out its ridiculous

Years of loyalty and a great keeper. He has one rush of blood to the head & all of a sudden he's an idiot?

Thought Morrison was Captain - is Marshall "Club Captain"

Anyway, Captain or not, he cannot behave like that in his position as GK.

Cost us the game, many will say that he has saved us points in the past, but that is in the past.

Guy should buy a mirror and take a long look in it :bluescarf:

I agree he has cost us 3 points but stripping him of the captaincy is over the top. As others have said he's been a great servant over the years. :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Roy Keane was considered a great leader, and he did stuff like this all the time. It's happened 2 times in the last 8 games, but it's also happened 2 times in his career (to my knowledge).

Peltier last week showed how to react to an incident by flattening the guy fairly with guts and determination and power.I'd have no problem if two players stood toe to toe and exchanged a few punches.F..king pi..sses me off when Nancy boys kick out knowing ref will always break up any fracas.Marshall should donate wages to Ty Hafan for matches he misses.Might forgive him a bit then but would stick with Moore after ban expires.

The best stand-out player in the past 4+ years and some of you want him pilloried. You're yhe ones who need to look at yourselves!

He's been far more loyal than anyone in
My opinion and usually, his behaviour is impeccable. I'm not excusing him, but let's keep some perspective!!

He was one of the main reasons for promotion and played behind a team with a poor scoring record. He remained loyal to the club when he must have received some interest off bigger clubs.

Loyalty works both ways.

Plastic tw*t, he's been our rock for years. Outstanding performances week in week out. We can't all have Buffons and Kahns.

Ridiculous comment. He's every bit as good as 'everyone makes out'. And don't be afraid.

And another thing:

He cost no points. He was off the pitch before any goals were scored. Look at the squad before chucking mud everywhere.

Marshall needs understanding and some allowances made for his monumental efforts to date.

Dont be a silly boy of course his red card altered the game.

To say he cost us no points because he wasnt on the pitch when the goals went is is lunacy

I agree with Woodville Willie. How do you know he cost us the game? We were'nt winning comfortably when he was sent off. The reports said we were being outplayed anyway. There is no way of knowing what would have happened, plenty of teams have had player sent off and still won. All irrelevant anyway, we lost and got nil points, and that's the only stat that matters.

Would you say it's Moores fault then, because after all, he conceded before he even had a touch.

Stupid comment, gifting a penalty and going down to 10 men but it's not his fault because he's done well in the past

Of course it's a silly comment from me!!

I'm just fed up of players being singled out, especially Marshall who has been hand down the best Cardiff player for seasons now.

Marshall was wrong. He should know better but to be fair, it's out of character.

The goal was a blow, but don't forget HT was all level against shit opposition. 10 men or not, a point was possible from there.

Did Marshall score an own goal? You could argue yes in a way as Moore was dumped into a bad situation. But it wasn't the only own goal was it?

To say that Marshall cost the game is laughable when you have 45mins to get something from the game against the worst defence in the Championship this season.

Stupid? Ridiculous? YES!!

But Marshall didn't cost all 3 points.

You are having a bit of a nightmare here.

Marshall did the same at Forest last game of season. I also recall him throttling Gerrard a few seasons ago. I would not say this is out of character for him now.

3 incidents in all those seasons makes it part of his character now!!

Well he should have been sold then ages ago when PL sides were sniffing around if he's that much of a liability.

I'm not saying what he did was right. It was daft in the extreme. I stand by what I stated, that he isn't normally one to fly off the handle.

Tell you what, let's see what happens if he is moved out.

It'll be like a leaky colander at the back IMHO.
