Manchester United are now unwilling to let striker James Wilson leave on loan, according to Wolves boss Kenny Jackett.
Wilson, 19, was set for a temporary switch to a Championship side, with at least six clubs interested.
But Jackett said: "The information is he's not available. Manchester United are keeping him for the time being.
"There has been a number of clubs who have enquired about him and at one stage they had been saying perhaps he could go."
Wolves had asked about the England Under-21 international as striker Nouha Dicko is out for the season with a serious knee injury.
Wilson has scored four goals in 18 first-team appearances, including two on his debut against Hull in May 2014.
He has not featured at all for United this season

Cardiff City have been knocked back in their bid to sign teen sensation James Wilson from Manchester United.
The 19-year-old striker was a target for the Bluebirds, Wolves, Bolton, Derby and as many as 10 other Championship clubs - but interested parties have been informed he won't leave Old Trafford in the current loan window.
Last week Russell Slade confirmed his interest in the striker, who has scored three times in his 14 United appearances, and said: "Obviously he’s a player of strong ability and Manchester United think very highly of him.
"It would be wrong if people turned their heads away when James Wilson was available."
England U21 Wilson had been expected to leave, having been frozen out of Louis Van Gaal's plans so far this season, but Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett broke the bad news to interested parties after his loan bid was rejected.
He said: "The information is, he's not available.
"There's been a number of clubs who have enquired about him and at one stage they'd been saying perhaps he could go."
"But they're keeping him there for the time being.
