Some great news there, as I was told yesterday and today by two different people in the camp that everyone of the current first team have nothing but Respect for Slade and everyone of them love playing for him.

So to be fair to Slade,even though some including myself have plenty of reservations about him and don't believe he will take City up,he has the full backing of the current first team and they want to play for him and Trollope

Would still like to see Noone and some tactical changes take place by Slade rather than imposed on him .

i think he could certainly justify bringing noone in for pilkington now. Though i dont see it happening away to Rotherham.

i guess Manga will start saturday now too, whats the latest with Connolly.

It's hard to say anything other than Trollope has made a difference to the squad, but equally we must ask 'who' deserves the credit for bringing him in and also who 'shaped' the current squad

Out of the two answers (Slade or Tan) you'll probably find a few more giving him a bit of credit soon!

Well said, trollope is part of Slades staff anyway so as the buck ends with slade when we loose the credit must go to him when we're doing well.

I think it's a bit early to say those fans were wrong about Slade. Many of us said that Slade was'nt the man to get us promoted. Personally, I still feel the same way because I don't think he was brought in to get us promoted. I think he was given the job to maintain Championship football while helping to reduce the club debts and slashing the wage bill. As far as I am concerned, if we finish anywhere around mid table, maybe even as low as 15th, he will have done all that could be expected. Anything else would be a big bonus.

Ive praised Slade, Its a partnership , you cant ignore the fact that our football improved when Trollope arrived,but If I am honest I am loving it again watching them his season even though I am not convinced they will take us up.

To have everyone wanting to play under you gives Slade a very good chance of being successful and I am not surprised as he comes across as a top bloke loving this bottomless pit of praise for him.

It's quite similar to Terry Burton/Dave Jones in a way...

I remember some always saying our success (relatively speaking) under DJ was all down to Burton but end of the day whilst a good number 2 makes a huge difference, it's down to the manager to find the right man for the job as Slade seems to have done with Trollope and Jones did with TB

Trollope is an excellent coach. Wales have acknowledged that by appointing him. He has made the difference,though Slade has brought togetherness. We need to be more adventurous and pick Ameobi from the start though.
