PMQs

Very enjoyable today :thumbright:

Corbyn did a great job and although it may look like it meant Cameron's answers weren't really challenged I think it will make a big difference now.

Great start for the new leader :thumbright:

Explain why he left early last night

The man is weak and will never be a strong leader ,he's a threat to our national security ,he thinks that terrorist are our friends hmmmm very strange

Re: PMQs

would also hand back the falklands in a jiffy and open the doors to hundreds of thousands of (labour voting) immigrants.

some good ideas, but unelectable unfortunately.

nope-both my kids joined labour to vote for him-his strategy is quite simple realy if you look at it-nearly 40% of people in this country didnt vote in the last election-mainly young/poor people-he is the only one who has directed his attention to this massive grouping -get these onside & you can f**ck tory middle england & get us a proper socialst goverment that puts people b4 bankers profits.

Corbyn is a self righteous, power hungry bigot. Typical of socialist leaders. Has he ever had a job?
He panders to the uneducated and lazy, by saying what they want to hear, as if he gives a **** about them.
The bankers provide more wealth (and therefore the money for our bloated welfare bill) than the lazy idiots who support Corbyn.

Corbyn supporters should say do they support all his policies and rhetoric:

IRA, Hamas and other cowardly terrorist organisations. Who rejoice in murdering British soldiers, women and children.
Print more money to solve the debt problem. How ******* stupid can you be?
Unlimited immigration. As labour MP said "so what if we have to wait another week for a doctors appointment so an immigrant can have that appointment, or our school classrooms have extra kids for immigrant children to attend".
Dishonouring the memory of the brave members of the RAF who fought and died for our freedom against Hitler and his socialist bigotry and hatred.

Corbyn could not ask a question at PMQ as he does not understand what is really going on in the world, only in his warped uneducated ideolocical thinking. David Cameron laughed at him and did well not to show the contempt Corbyn deserved.

Corbyn has alrready back tracked on his promises to quit NATO and the EU. He will also kneel before the Queen in order to receive a Privy Council position (money and power for life), Again putting himself before those idiots who believe his rhetoric.

Hitler was extreem right wing. Right like Farage, Cameron The Daily Mail, The Sun etc, socialist are on the left like Corbyn. No newspapers because they're owned by right wingers.

Here it is everyone; the sneering contempt for anyone who doesn't agree with the left. You're just another elitist muppet.

Who the f**k do you think you are, it really boils my piss when leftards make comments like this and think their much better than everyone else due to their political beliefs.

I don't sing GTSQ either so I admire his stance on that. He's got to change tact in PMQs if he's going to bother Cameron who is a very shrewd politician. To succeed, Corbyn needs to attack Camerons policies, by all means ask questions from the public but Corbyn was too quick to accept Camerons answers and move on. He needs to press him. I'm a UKIP voter but agree with a lot Cameron has done however if pressed Corbyn can really put Cameron under pressure.

Mcdonnell, the new Shadow chancellor is on Question time tonight, should be interesting.

Re: PMQs

Thu Sep 17, 2015 8:17 pm

I'm a massive Corbyn fan and thought it was a good start but yeah i think he should maybe mixed it up with 3 question, 3 responses. Instead of three sets of two questions about the same issue. Interesting how making the questions personal seemed to stop Cameron from attacking the questions with his usual theatrical responses. Don't see the big deal about GSTQ when he's supposed to be an agnostic republican. Also the thing about the privy council was proven to be false, the leader doesn't have to sign up for Labour to receive the money, he said he signed up to be in control of security issues or something.

His opinions on things like NATO and EU were never going to be fully enforced, he's always insisted on putting democracy and people's views above his own and believes that being inclusive and taking into account the full voice of the party is important.

I don't think he's power hungry at all, I don't think after the general election defeat he would have seen himself sitting here now. He's always been more of a social campaigner than a politician. At least he's a man of principal and I think some of the stuff brought up is disrespectful to the democratic system that elected him, even if you don't agree, be won fair and square, and he's offering an alternative. Also when the expenses scandal was about it was revealed that he claimed the least amount of expenses of any MP, if I remember correctly.

The Nazi party's full name was 'National Socialist German Workers' Party'.

Extreme right and extreme left wing views kind of end up going full circle and are not very dissimilar.

What were the differences between Hitler (considered extreme right) and Stalin (considered extreme left)?

Both were dictators whose actions cost millions of people their lives.

Re: PMQs

For the record I think Corbyn is a decent, principled man but I disagree with him on what seems like everything and he will never get into power. Having said that, we only know what he doesn't agree with, not what he does agree with.

Forget about getting into government, Labour might not even be the opposition if Corbyn gets to take them in 2020 election, UKIP & Lib Dems (if they play it right) could eat much of their vote.

Even though I'm a Labour voter, I do agree that some on that side don't appreciate others' opinions.

I think what he did on Wednesday was just something to get the public involved for his first PMQs on the front bench. I'd expect it to differ next week and it will be interesting.

Thought McDonnell did well on QT last night.

Re: PMQs

What people seem to not understand (including all the new - old Labour people) is that the debt is STILL 1.5 Trillion pounds and the deficit per year between what we spend and what we take in tax is still something like 50 BIllion - per year.

The Tories and Lib Dems wanted to try nd reduce the yearly deficit and then address the debt - whereas Corbyn wants to spend more money.

If in your house you take home 1,000 a month - and you Mrs manages to spend her way through 1,500 and you already have a credit card debt of 10,000 - what would you do ? - ask you Mrs to pull it in a bit and cut back - or would you say no problem love - you make sure you max out the credit card every month and we'll have to hope one of use gets a pay rise.

You wouldnt do it at home and you wouldnt do it in Govt - unless you are Corbyn / Labour - who seem to think they just keep on spending. It's nice to dream about all the good stuff - like fair pay, equal rights, human rights etc - but at the end of the day - you have to look after your bills.

There was a quote from a Labour MP who said - at the last election we lost it by offering the electorate 'Egg and Chips' which they clearly didnt want - now we have a new leader who thinks the electorate will vote for him if he offers 'Double Egg and Chips'
