We looked a better team and hull did a good job of defending their early lead. I'm happy with those stats but I accept the result. I'm absolutely chuffed to bits that the fans are so positive after last night.

We are lacking that spark ,only when Sammy and noone came on we had it ,I'm just not sure in mason I think he's just an average player ,to go up we need more than average

the contrast in atmosphere from Saturday was considerable, best game this year

Mason was a passanger last night , he was just not in the game he's not strong enough on the ball gets totally outmuscled, he may do ok against the weaker teams in this division but when we play teams with big defenders he will just get dominated

agree I though Jones had a better game than normal we need a pacey player to partner Jones maybe the French lad will be that for us

A bit disappointed with our corners, they used to be a real goal threat for us but now it seems we just pop it in the box and hope something happens.Maybe we are missing Gunnersson annoying the keeper.

Apart from the result I really enjoyed the game.
Agree that Mason lacks strength/pace and we should be looking to other options in similiar circumstances.
Great atmosphere all around, but partuicularly from the Canton Stand.
Loved "You're just a shit David Marshall" - should start to give the gaffer some credit and "Russell Slade's Barmy Army" might be a start in giving the guy some recognition and respect

Chuffed too brilliant display by all much better than Saturday.
We didn't deserve to beat Huddersfield IMO so it evens out I guess.

With all those corners, it beggars belief why there weren't more goals. The point about Gunnar by an earlier post is worth thinking about. And his long throws are as good as crosses or corners too.
The final sharpness up front seems to be the only problem.
Every thing else is all gravy.

I do agree but you also have to give credit to hull, we have found the net in the previous 6 games

Now you're talking! One loss and it's all gone wrong. There is plenty to celebrate.
I do think that the emphasis in training has been on shoring up defence and now, the sharpness up front can be a priority.
