I agree with most of the comments about Peltier not offering much going forward.
However, I don't think that is his only role. We moaned last season about the lack of leadership and people like him, Marshall, Morrison (although I don't rate him !), Jones and Dikajoi have made a real difference this year.
His role was summed up to me last night. At the end of the game he got hit with a really bad tackle that could easily have resulted in a red for the Hull player. He got up and, in the next passage of play, hit the Hull player with a really physical challenge as if to say "if you deal it out you will get it back". I know it's only a small thing but to have someone like that in your team does raise the whole team and crowd and gives them a collective feeling of "I've got your back".
He may not set the pulse racing in terms of forward play but having a successful team at this level is about getting a good mix and being able to battle through the bad/tough times.
I would argue that we're better placed for that than we have been for a long time.
Just wish we had a goal scorer to play alongside Jones

Agree, he's a gutsy player that will give 100% every time.
Used to love Anthony Gerard for that reason, he'd be first in to an altercation even if it was half way across the pitch and nothing to do with him.
Our team was way too lightweight last year it's good to have a few tough guys in the Champ.

Peltier (and all the players) got stuck in last , Mason is a bit light weight upfront - either that or we dont play him in the right areas.
I was surprised Peltier was playing after going off on Saturday with what looked like a bad knock.
Fabio - playing like his is ass is on fire - more of that please
well done all round

Agree, I've not really been a fan of his but his all round game was fantastic last night.
We have 3 quality full backs and each offers something different. A nice headache for Slade to have.

My main issue with Peltier is when he has the ball, if the opposition closed him down he has to pass backwards as he had no abillity to go past or risk a forward pass.

Excellent post.Glad someone else noticed the retribution.Don't get mad get even.Seems a cracking player to her up the team.Tough cookie but fair and uncompromising and must give players a boost to see his attitude.Worth his starting place.

If there is a scuffle he is always 1 of the first there to back up whoever is involved. Same with Pilkington

For me with Peltier we just lack width especially with Pilks and Ralls moving inside.

so drop pilkington and play a winger

I just don't see Slade doing it.
Personally I like Malone and Fabio at full back.

He offers great balance I think, we cant have everyone bombing up the wings. Agree with all the comments above too

He was superb last night, I like him, you can't have a team of swashbuckling players or a team of gutsy players but mix the both and you have a good balance

We have Mason. 3 goals in 7 is a record we haven't had from a striker at our club in a long while.
