Peter Whittingham created 6 chances last night, more than any other player in the Championship.

Always has been quality. It's a shame that a lot of so called Cardiff fans (some posters on here) shout abuse at him whenever he makes a mistake.

When other players make poor passes or don't put the effort in little is mentioned but as soon as Whitts does it you get the usual clueless idiots shouting mindless abuse at him.

He is by far the most naturally gifted player we have :notworthy: and doesn't deserve the abuse he gets from these idiots.

The whole team needs the full support of us fans, not abuse. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I couldn't have put it better myself. You're right there are some clueless people on here and they know exactly who they are
I was saying to a few sitting by me last night that whenever Whitts makes a mistake some idiots are on his back immediately but if certain other players make mistakes constantly then nothing is said, quite sad really. Early days yet but I've said from the beginning of preseason that this season Whitts will shine and prove a few clueless people wrong. Watch this space. :ayatollah:

Besides the result, the abuse was the only thing that spoilt the game last night. Great team performance. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Agree 100%, he'll show his class this season. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The reason why his passing completion is higher might have something to do with the fact that most of his passes are 10 yards in length, and sideways or backwards

Good game last night. Loved his flying tackle. :D

That's the modern game and Slades tactics. Some of his touches and passes last night were class and his vision is superb.

There were occasions last night when his only option was to pass backwards due to lack of movement ahead of him.

Because he's the playmaker he's an easy target for those that like to moan.

If you can't see what whitts does for this team then as expected you are truly clueless

Was typical last night Whitts played well last night but when he made a misplaced pass loads of people around me were given him so much abuse , but when Fabio made a mistake it was unlucky Fabio. Really winds me up the abuse Whitts gets he's a class player and we are lucky to have such a good fotballer at the club

The thing is, he cant pass forward that much because only Jones and Mason are up there, sometimes we have a big gap from the forwards to the midfield and Ralls/Dika/Whitts are all similar in that they don't really dribble up the middle, looking to thread a pass through at the last min.

He did fine, I enjoyed his lunge in the second half on Abel :D

We need a Mutch type player now to drop in, maybe at the expenses of Ralls who not really doing anything wrong, but we just have 3 players offering similar passing styles.

I've always been a Whitts fan. He is the best long passer outside the Premier. However, I think Pilks should take corners and free - kicks from the left, which favour a right-footer.

Whittingham was great last night, often starting attacks that others could never do. For those who moan about his work-rate, he isn't there for that. We have enough workhorses. We need some class.......some people don't appreciate what he does.

maybe you should try looking at other players doing the same thing but of course you just look at Whitts so you can have a go at his mistakes instead of taking the positives from his game

Would like to see him mix the pace that he delivers corners. Apart from that he played well last night and that tackle was good to see

One of the most naive posters on here.
It's called linking play. He picks the ball off the defence and keeps it moving. Keeps possession. Now and again when he sees it he puts in some great passes forward long and short.

Whittingham is probably our most important player.
He has bad days (who doesn't) but he is essential to how we perform.

Agree with many on here that say he is the whippimg boy for any mistakes, but others (Fabio,Morrison ?) are not booed or jeered for it.

Looks like Mason is next in line for the scapegoat role, so Whitts could be getting some time off soon.

Another spot on post.
It's strange how the mindless idiots that hurl abuse at him don't want to put there view forward.

I'm convinced this is a parody account/wum because no-one can be that consistently negative about a club they allegedly support as he is. Think the fella thrives off the negative attention. It's like the kid in class who kept sticking crayons up his nose...

And there I go giving him more attention. Fair play to the Troll he gets me biting everytime.
