Cardiff manager Russell Slade was unimpressed by the performance of referee Chris Sarginson after his side had three penalty appeals turned down in their 2-0 Sky Bet Championship defeat to Hull.
Russell Slade: Left feeling 'upset'
16/09/15
Goals from Mohamed Diame and Abel Hernandez ended the Bluebirds' unbeaten start to the league campaign, whilst giving the Tigers a first win on the road to move above the Welsh club to fourth in the table.
But Cardiff were upset to see Sone Aluko's high foot on Joe Ralls, a pull on Joe Mason's shirt by Tom Huddlestone and an alleged handball by Michael Dawson all go unpunished by the officials.
"We have looked closely on the DVD and we think there are three strong penalty shouts and we did not get any of them," Slade said.
"We are upset - we made our feelings felt. We have to be careful how we go about that, but he got it wrong.
"His reason for not giving the high kick was it was too low, yet Ralls has barely lowered his head, so if that is not dangerous play I do not know what is.
"Mason was pulled back - everyone saw that - and then Dawson has got two hands on the ball when Joe Ralls shot from edge of the box. His hands are not in line with his body so I am confused by that decision.
"So it was a frustrating night. I thought there were some good things in our performance. We were just settling down when they scored.
"But they were ruthless with the chances they got."
Diame, making just his sixth appearance since December, gave the visitors an eighth-minute lead by slotting home after Cardiff failed to clear Aluko's cross, before his lovely pass set up Hernandez's third goal of the season to seal the win with 10 minutes to go.

The first 2 were hard to tell being in the canton but the third looking a penalty, the ref signalled it hit his chest but the way Dawson got up and walked off quickly without saying a word makes me think the ref got it wrong.
Before the high boot penalty shout they were given a free kick for a dikgachoi high boot.
Awful performance overall by the officials I thought

The difference between the 2 high boot decisions was not that Ralls had his head low as the ref indicated at the time, but simply the fact that one was in the penalty box and the other was not. Unfortunately the ref was inconsistent all night and got most of the big decisions wrong.

I hope Slade was equally upset by the fact that City didn't make their goalkeeper make one genuine save throughout out the game

The referee had a f*cking awful night, he was determined to give every decision against us.
