' Hull boss Steve Bruce, did not agree with Slade's '

Wed Sep 16, 2015 7:01 am

Hull boss Steve Bruce, unsurprisingly, did not agree with Slade's assessment of the trio of penalty decisions, preferring to praise his players' application in finally producing a positive performance on the road.

16/09/2015

"I thought the referee got all three of them right," he said.

"The one with the high foot, their boy is trying to drop down. For the handball I thought it was the right decision too. I don't know what they got their knickers in a twist about.

"But we are delighted with that result. Our away form was a concern. We had to arrest it and thankfully we have put in a really good performance against an excellent Cardiff side.

"We managed the aerial stuff with our three centre-halves and we looked good going forward.

"The application was excellent. We had been disappointed with our away performances. We wanted to respond and the players have.

"We looked like we had Premier League quality about us. We could even have had a couple more on the break, so it is an excellent result."

What a surprise. Why can't these arseholes just be honest because he knows aswell as slade if it was decisions against hull he'd be complaining, the games over Bruce just be strait.

No surprise there.

I don't know any manager that has admitted the ref got it wrong where it goes against their team.

Steve Bruce has shown why a lot of the time its pointless listening to manager's comments. They hardly ever come out and say "we were fortunate with the decisions" or "even though we won, I'm not happy with the performance". Their comments always seem more scripted

Just goes to support the fact that managers are under the spotlight and daren't leave the party line.

To be fair, he has seen his side take a victory against by his own admission, a very good Cardiff side. Take that as a compliment!!

At least he didn't accuse anyone of cheating or being boring or inept. And don't forget their memory of PL is fresh and they have some players to prove it!!

Remember the 2-2 when they got promoted?

He thought the hand ball against them for Maynard's penalty was a mistake. No real surprise in his comments from last night.

Bruce is a vile man I hate him , he is an ex man UTD player and thinks that all refs are only good when it supports his team I really hope we can get it together and smash them at Hull and more importantly smash Bruce ill say it again
he is a vile creature

I don't understand why managers don't just admit things, it makes them look stupid

He is one of the most wingiest managers around and his face looks like someone set it on fire and tried to put it out with a golf shoe.
