Better Than Against Huddersfield

Results can be deceiving sometimes and I think our performances in the previous two games have produced results which were, perhaps, undeserved. I don't think anyone will disagree that we were poor on Saturday overall and although we won the football was boring to watch. Tonight, however, I thought we played much better. There are no excuses for the first goal; purely diabolical from a defensive point of view. Yet I saw us do something that we haven't done an awful lot of under Slade; attack! We pressed and pressed and although we didn't challenge their keeper much, we kept the pressure on. towards the end of the game we had 3 strikers and a team ready to attack. It was what we needed to do. The risk of such tactics is that it makes you weaker at the back and we were susceptible to a goal of their second's ilk. This is the risk of playing attacking football and in many ways I would rather have lost 2-0 having given it a go than sitting and accepting a 1-0. I think Slade had it right today and we were unlucky in a few areas and made a couple of mistakes that Slade can't be blamed for. Roll on Saturday and let's bring back 3 points

I don't post on every single thread ....all the time of course I'm harmless that's why you love me so much.
