I don't join in 'anti' chants as a rule, but yesterday I joined in the "We want Ali back!" chant with some laughter after I thought I was abroad when the announcer spoke in a language I simply couldn't understand!

Coming on for Huddersfield is number 17...when number 17 was the player going off.

The worst stadium announcer I have ever heard at a live game. He couldn't get anything right, taking ages to recognise the number, then taking even longer to work out what player wore that number, before either giving up or guessing wrongly! The woman announcing the line ups was awful as well!

Hopefully these two new announcers will be decent enough, although I'm not expecting them to be as good as Ali.

Give him a break, it was thrust on him last minute, he didn't want to do it but they said he had to. T
He was given the wrong goal scorer by another employee when he announced Mason. He won't be doing it again and was put in a very difficult position yesterday.

I just hope that we get an announcer that we can understand clearly, who follows the game, and plays some decent records. He's sadly no longer with us, but Phil Suarez was superb. Fair play to Ali, who acknowledged that in one of his books. The two yesterday were unbelievable. It was like a comedy sketch, where they were trying to do everything wrong. But at least they had a go, I suppose. Hopefully these new ones will settle in quickly.

Just stop playing cheesy shit that no one in the ground relates too, don't cut men of harlech off before it finishes and play our classics like hey jude all the way through. It's not hard

glad the club as acted quickly as i posted yesterday the woman was terrible she got quite excited saying kenwynnes name though must be her fav player

The announcers on Saturday were comical, made mistakes every time they spoke, got name wrong, massive pauses while they tried to work out what was going on, even reading the same names twice when the team was named. Literally couldn't have done a worse job if they tried.

Obviously Ali did something to warrant being sacked though.
