If we ever get back to the Premier we will have over 30000 each week. Half of those will be there to watch the big name players and the big teams visiting the CCS. They won't be there as true City supporters, because if they were they would be there week in week out right now. I think there's a difference between a fan and a supporter, and probably the majority of the club's true supporters were down there yesterday.

This is why the fair weather fans don't stick around, our own fans cannibalise them.

Why do people get wound up and look down their noses at people like this? If fans come or don't then it's their choice, as long as you go and support City don't worry what anyone else is doing.

We averaged around 18/20,000 in championship prior to Tans arrival let alone Premier League...

Tinker man Tan has left a sour taste for many, not denying the plastics melting but there's more to it than lack of Premier success. :bluescarf:

The point he's trying to make is that these 'fans' only watch the big teams and aren't interested in City, yet throw their toys out the pram when they can't get a ticket for a 'big' team city play

Went to the canton again yesterday was ok in there. First half wasn't good second half much better imo. They will be back once the wins come or promotion like any club.

It's the same situation with Wales football. Double the amount of fans now we are doing well. That's modern football these days. 15 thousands true fans and 15 thousand plastics. I would rather a full ground though in my opinion looks better.

Same thing. I don't care about it. As long as I got mine and as long as I go I don't care what anyone does.

I totally agree.
When Wales was terrible and we really wasn't doing well nobody wanted to know. Now we are doing brilliantly every man and his dog wants to know about Wales football.
It's terrible that the only way to get "fans" interested is to be constantly successful, not purely for the love of the club/country.

I'll be honest the whole day out has changed over the last few years. It's all too nice nicey down there for some fans now. Fantastic for families don't get me wrong, but for your 18+ men who go with the boys, it's not the same atmosphere as before. I see watching city now as more of a habit than going because I got a buzz for it. Can't put my finger on what exactly it is though that has dwindled my interest.

F**k them, as far as I'm concerned I'm in good company at the moment, through and through bluebirds. Roll on Tuesday. :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

The 12000 fans will always be there but I would rather bums on the empty seats than empty seats.Let's not put down spectators who come when we are doing well,at least they are there. If your favourite restaurant gets a good reputation more people go...simples.

Re: Glory hunters

for me they are not stay away fans like people suggest, crowds have dropped and are dropping as the football on offer is just crap. And, in my opinion will drop more if it continues. I like slade, he is bringing a good sense of team spirit and fight, and getting results, but signings are not excitable, and are injured!! And there is nothing to get anyone feeling the hard earned cash is value for money. That is what people want, value for money, it's too expensive these days to warrant not being entertained, like it loathe it fans want to feel like they spent their money on something that gives something back. City just don't offer it, despite a great start.
That's my thoughts anyway
