Here.

Will prove me wrong if we keep it up, as it stands it's nothing but a very good start. Still won't like him tho.

Right here, the jury is still out as far as I'm concerned, tell me if Slade gets the sack, can we name and shame you?

I don't get posts like this. We were abysmal at times last season and he deserved his critics. This season, yes, he is proving people wrong, but that doesn't mean people were wrong to ask him to go last season?

I'm glad he's doing well this year and I hated him last year!! Happy for him to carry on as long as results keep up. The football is a lot better than last year also!

You were very wrong to ask Slade to go last season, considering the constraints he had to work under and all the mess he had to sort out. Unfortunately, our deluded fans want instant success and fail to appreciate it takes time to turn things around.

I appreciate it was a difficult task to undertake trimming the squad, and he's done a fantastic job of doing that. But ultimately football is a results business and we weren't getting them most of the last year. Although towards thr end of last season, results picked up and he did deserve to have a pre season to give it a go this year.

Good post Cal, big fan of Slade but we shouldn't shout it from the rooftops until he has consistently performed as he is at the moment. :ayatollah: :sladein:

Bit early in the season to come out with a post like this. Probably about 20 games too early.

I think it was completely unfair to judge Slade on our results last season. He had a thankless task, it wasn't his squad, he inherited an unfit, unbalanced squad and had to reshape everything from top to bottom. I find those shouting "Slade out" last season bizarre to say the least.

I initially stuck up for Slade because he was being unfairly criticised by our deluded fans. He more than deserved a crack in the Championship after winning the manager of the year award after taking Leyton Orient to within a penalty shootout of joining us in the Championship, with a squad assembled with 30 free transfers out of the lowest budget in the whole of the football league.

That wasn't good enough for our selfish, deluded, unrealistic, overly demanding fans though, the majority of us never gave Slade a chance and slagged him off from the beginning, because he wasn't a big enough name for you. It's pathetic really, it was obvious last season was going to be nothing more than a transitional season after the mess Ole caused.

I've always been within the minority of fans sticking up for Slade believing he will do very well with us and our start this season doesn't surprise me at all. Let's hope it continues.

It is too early.
But it was also too early for people to judge him last season when so many weren't prepared to give him a chance.

The guy has done enough to deserve a bit of backing now.

It would be great to see our fans get behind him- and the team properly now
