We are pleased to reveal Cardiff City's third adidas playing kit for the 2015/16 season, as modelled by Bluebirds defender Sean Morrison.
Please note that this kit will
only be worn when clashes occur between our blue home/red away kit and our opposition host club's home kit.
The third kit will be worn this season only and is supplied for the first team squad alone. It is not available to purchase in retail outlets.
The only way you can own one of these extremely rare shirts is by sponsoring a first-team player for the 2015/16 campaign. By doing so, you'll be presented with the shirt at the conclusion of the season by the respective player. For further information on kit sponsorship, email

Not sure what to think of that, like the colours but it does look a little cheap. It's growing on me the more I look at it.

...........................can't buy it though - seems a bit of a strange approach by the club

I like it. Happy to have yellow, would rather this than our red kit.

Don't know why they didn't just stick with white or plain yellow with blue trim. Also, strange that there will be none for sale? I cant remember any first team shirt that wasn't on sale, even limited numbers.

To be fair to the club i think thats a good idea, they will probably only wear it once or twice this season and you do tend to get fans who buy the third kit of their supported teams and then complain that they hardly wore it and it only lasted 1 season. A common sense decision for a change

Nice kit

It would sell a lot more than the red away one. If only this was the proper away one
But no thanks.

Agree.
It is a practical 3rd kit, but not commercially desirable.
I quite like the white away kit, with blue-yellow trim.
There should never be a need for a 3rd kit if the colours of the second kit are thought out.

I prefer this to yellow and red trim tbh. St Davids flag springs to mind, least we got to beat the scabs in Blue before this happened anyhow, I`m sure there will be a surge in player sponsorship with a limited chance to get this kit, not a bad move from the club

I'm comfortable with that except for the worm on the badge.

I think it's alright and glad they've choose yellow which has traditionally shown up a fair bit in our kits.
