' The last time we met '

The last time the two sides met at the Cardiff City Stadium, Mark Lillis took charge of the first game of his second spell as Caretaker-manager following the departure of Mark Robins.

Cardiff City, who were then managed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and captained by Mark Hudson ran out 3-1 winners on the day. The goals came from Peter Whittingham and two from Kenwyne Jones for Cardiff with Murray Wallace on target for Town.

There have been wholesale changes at both Cardiff and Town since the fixture with only eight of the eighteen players remaining at Cardiff City compared with seven players remaining from the Huddersfield eighteen on duty that day.
