If true... the fact carl stated in his update slade was TOLD we had enough midfield players in our squad. Slade is the manager he should call the shots on this,if he thinks we need a new midfieleder he should be backed to get him imo.

Managers only think about the short term, you may have a point. Boardroom interference is not necessarily a bad thing as they are the ones that set out the objectives of the club.

Agreed, it seems the club are truly getting their house in order. Simple figures, too many midfielders in the squad so Slade has to wait to improve the quality

Some good points lads.. i agree looks like their keeping the budget in mind and i agree also be great to see wharton or osullivan given a chance, or if whitts keeps upping his game or ralls moves to centre alongside dikgachoi our midfield options could be good enough for promotion anyway..

Truth be told since Slade took over the leeks from the club have stopped...nobody on this board knows for certain what was or wasn't said!!!!

personally I believe a few will go out on loan and we will maybe get one in on loan...but who knows.

All I do know is that transfer dealings seem to be done in private and they seem sensible and more long term...and long may it continue

I think its spot on, move people on.
If it was my money id say you bought O'Keefe and haven't use him so why should I buy you another midfielder.

On the same token people were having a go at the board for allowing Malky free resign in signing a load of expensive rubbish as they "signed it off". Sometimes they just cant win.
