Millennium Stadium to be renamed Principality Stadium from January 2016 in 10-year deal.

I don't know whether it would have even been possible for them to have a different name, I can see this making it a bit harder to convince others we are a country not a Principality

I managed to convince one of my mates in uni we are, and he's already used this as an excuse

Ffs just rename it The England's Bitch Stadium and be done with it

I still call it Cardiff Arms Park

What a patronising, weak name.
Next thing it'll be change the CCS to The Visit Malaysia Arena.
I hate renames. It feels unlucky to me.

Just call it 'Minority Sport Stadium' - very appropriate for a non-world sport played by the usual boring countries

That name is an absolute shocker. Less embarrassing if it was the Hooters Stadium.

My thoughts are if you need to gain extra revenue from renaming rights the first port of call would be the St David's Centre. Great advertising targeted at people visiting the city and the stadium would be called The St. David's Stadium which I don't think anyone would object to.
I really hope CCS goes down this route if/when we look to sell naming rights

People will still call it the millennium, I don't like renames in an ideal world but understand its a good way of making money

Really don't like this, but it will always be the Millennium Stadium to me and plenty others.

I agree Ned

I'd rather it be called the Isis stadium than principality ffs. Wait until that nonce looking kunt John inverdale hears about it. the shirt lifting ponce already loves calling us the principality every 5minutes whenever he's at the stadium presenting a rugby game. We won't hear the last of it

Any Welshman caught calling the stadium " the principality " should be stoned to death. I really hope welsh commentators like Jonathan Davis, Edie butler refuse to call it by that name, and either stick with millennium stadium or refer to it as the national stadium

It was bound to happen, the Principality building society always wanted to re name it the Principality stadium, those who pay the most for re naming rights get to rename it, only the Principality building society paid the big bucks.
Lucky it wasn't sponsored by the Chelsea building society...the Chelsea stadium
