Surprised about Kennedy as he was certainly one of last season's better players.

I wonder if his being frozen out by Slade so far this season has anything to do with the interview he gave a short while ago where he said that the dressing room was not a happy place when he first arrived.

Since that article he's not been given a look in.

Could be just a coincidence or could be Slade not happy with him because of what he said.

McAleny was on loan only but Kennedy was signed. Are you suggesting that Slade didn't want Kennedy really but signed him on a permanent basis just so he could get McAleny on loan? Or perhaps that the two had to come as a "package"?

With the return to form of Noone, the return to fitness of Pilkington, the signing of Ameobi and the return from loan of Ralls, he was always going to be further down the pecking order. A short term loan for Kennedy, I hope, as he could be needed if any of the above get an injury.

Agreed he's still young and he has experienced, quality players ahead of him in line. it won't hurt him to get game time and come back raring to go.

I think Slade is right If you are not going to play them loan them out instead of letting them rot in the reserves.

Agree, thought he was great last season but is young and had some 5 out of tens then 8 out of tens. Will improve and be a great asset and we have more than enough cover

Maybe suggesting that they weren't particularly Slade signings at all, of course he's been given a bit of transfer power when he brought in Revell. Tan has done it before with Eti for example. Althoguh Kennedy and McAleny were barely a risk with lower wages and both plying their trade in Britain.
