Cardiff City players Matt Kennedy and Semi Ajayi set to join large group of Bluebirds players sent out on loan.
There are already 11 senior members of Russell Slade's squad currently at other clubs, but the Cardiff boss may decide to make it 13 in the coming weeks.

Cardiff City players Matt Kennedy and Semi Ajayi set to join large group of Bluebirds players sent out on loan

By Terry Phillips
There are already 11 senior members of Russell Slade's squad currently at other clubs, but the Cardiff boss may decide to make it 13 in the coming weeks
Matty Kennedy and Semi Ajayi could both join the contingent of Cardiff City players who have been sent out on loan.
Manager Russell Slade is weighing up the best way to help his fringe players improve and admits that winger Kennedy is ‘right on the fringes’ of his matchday squad.
Cardiff have 11 senior players out with other clubs now and Slade could yet decide to add to that number.
Former Everton player Kennedy, 20, was outstanding for the Bluebirds’ under-21 team in their 3-0 win against Brentford, but missed the 1-1 draw against Bolton this week.
Ajayi, 21, was at the heart of City’s back four against Brentford, but he too was rested against Wanderers.
Russell Slade is weighing up his squad
“We wanted Matty training with the main first team squad and took him out of the under-21 group this week,” said Slade.
“He is right on the fringes of things. He is down to play in our under-21 match at Nottingham Forest next Monday and we’ll assess things again after that.
“There is a lot of competition in those wide areas, but if there was an injury or two he would certainly come into consideration. If not he may go out on loan to play regular first team football at some stage.
“I’ve watched Semi in a couple of matches and he’s done really well. I’d like him to play League matches.
“We allowed Rhys Healey to join Dundee FC to gain experience and it may be that Matty and Semi will benefit from similar opportunities.”
Declan John is in Russell Slade's thoughts
Slade, though, will assess the needs of each individual player before making decisions, with left-back Declan John also in his thoughts.
“Declan’s situation is slightly different because he has had a few niggly injuries,” said Slade.
“He did well for the Wales under-21 team during their 3-1 win in Luxembourg and he too could be somebody who benefits from a loan move.
“But we don’t want to lose too many, The main group is currently 26-strong and we will be careful to ensure we have the cover needed as we move forward.”
Federico Macheda has a back injury
Cardiff have only two current injury concerns with Ben Turner and Federico Macheda in the treatment room.
Turner is still a couple of months away from returning to action after ankle surgery, but is ready to step up his running regime next week.
Macheda is being treated for a back problem and won’t be ready for this Saturday’s Championship home match against Huddersfield Town.
