being serious though, it would be one of this clubs biggest ever acheivments, so yeah, IMO Slade would deffo be one of our best ever managers and he would certainly deserve tremendous amounts of praise from us all

I agree with you Luke, Nigel Adkins springs to mind. If you have a £50mil budget, give it to a manager who's worked with those figures before.

Peter Taylor got a lot of the credit. In fact, most football fans, myself included, believed at the time that it was a double act, and that Clough would never achieved what he did without Taylor.
