Got back late last night from Luxembourg, watching the under 21s. Really enjoyable to watch, and I'm glad that I made the trip!
The opening 20 minutes were sloppy, with us rarely finding each other with a pass, however after this point we tightened up the passing and went from strength to strength. The second half was even more one sided than the first, apart from the last 10 minutes when we seemed to relax. Good finishes for the goals, and the woodwork denying both teams a few goals each.
Overall, I feel if we can keep finding each other with pass got more than enough ability to do something with it, creating chances, and we seem to have players that can put those chances away! I think confidence is a key factor for us!
Some stand out performances.
Wales.
Josh Yorwerth - strong centre back. Wasn't afraid to get stuck in and win the ball, even he looked like he lost it!
Lee Evans - seemed to be involved in most attacks, confident on the ball.
Harry Wilson - only played 30 minutes, however still looked a cut above!
Luxembourg.
Cédric Sacras - by far their most influencial player. Always involved, if not created, their attacks despite being a defender, could be one to look out for, just based on this game!
