' IF ALL ARE FIT FOR NEXT GAME ? '

Fri Sep 04, 2015 7:04 pm

If every City player was fit for the Huddersfield game and after having a good strong start to the season who would you like to see as the starting eleven ?

Marshall is obviously everyone's choice of keeper and I would imagine the midfield and strikers would remain very much as it was in the last two league games but what about the defence ?

Fabio or Malone ?

Manga, Turner, Connolly or Morrison for the centre half positions ?

Would you keep the winning team and make others wait for an injury, suspension or dip in form ?

Manga in and that would be only change, there are a few on the bench like Sammy who I prefer for instance to Mason but it's working and that's the most important thing, could even argue that Manga has to wait as if it ain't broke....

Manga and Turner are our best centre backs BUT the team are doing well and we always say you should fight for your shirt. The boys in possession deserve their chance and knowing they have to look over their shoulder adds even more healthy competition and keeps those outside the starting team even more desperate to play and grasp their chance when given an opportunity. So:

Peltier Connolly Morrison Malone

Turner is a good defender, but cannot pass and is uncomfortable on the ball. I think you have to stick with the winning combo of Peltier, Morrison, Connolly and Fabio, even though my ideal would have Manga not Morrison and Malone not Peltier.Peltier is solid, but offers little going forward.

Is Pilkington fit?

He was named on the CCFC official site as being called up by the Republic of Ireland - but no sign of him tonight in the starting line up or the bench.

I would stick with the same side as last time - that means Fabio at LB with Malone on the bench.

Marshall
Fabio, Manga, Connolly, Malone
Ralls, Dikgacoi, Whittingham, Pilkington
Mason, Jones

Subs: Moore, Peltier, Morrison, Noone, Gunnarsson, Ameobi, Saadi

Our bench will always be ridiculously good so it's hard for Slade to pick a starting 11. This is what I would go for based on what I've seen this season. Peltier out, he's had a nightmare in some games, Fabio in to play on the right. Manga and Connolly as our centrebacks, I don't usually rate Connolly but he's been class so far. Keep the same midfield, they've been doing a good job, despite how well Noone and Ameobi have been playing off the bench. And also keep what we have upfront because let's be honest Mason and Jones are doing just fine.

My opinion tends to change every week but this is based on August.

Rule number #1

Never break a winning team.......

Sorry lads the replacements are doing very well and deserve to keep their place until fortune changes.

Have to agree with keeping the winning team together.Gives confidence to the starting 11 and keeps bench champing at the bit to get on and impress.Look how Fabio against played against Wolves when Malone was ill.Don't think any of out top players should think "I 'm fit so I'll start".Looking good all round.Loan window opens soon and I think if we 're up there by Christmas Mr Tan will get his cheque book out to give us a strong challenge for promotion .

Dont really care about the rest of the team as it's a bit of much or muchness - What I do want to see is Jones and Ameobi upfront for a few games - as I think that combination will work very well.

Same team for me. We have plenty ready to come on, and we also have three games in 7 days, but for next saturday id keep the likes of ameobi, malone and manga waiting
