First one I went to was a 1-0 win against N Ireland who had George Best playing for them. Would have been late 60's or early 70's, can't remember exactly when.

Used to love the days of the home internationals as a kid. The chance to see players you only saw on MOTD. Thrilled as a kid to see Keegan and still remember a banner in the family stand. Jesus saves but Keegan scores the rebound. Still makes me smile although I realise that's been done to death. :ayatollah:

Wales 1-0 West Germany. Ian Rush running onto a Neville Southall punt down the middle to fire into the corner. Not a bad first game to attend but unfortunately, it all went downhill from there, until this campaign anyway!

The infamous game against Yugoslavia is the first one i can actually remember although i had been to a few before that I'm sure but they weren't as memorable as that game, so first ever was probably one of the home internationals that used to be played.

My first one too and the date was May 17th 1975. A pals dad took us and we were sat in the upper end to the left of the grandstand on a gloriously sunny day. If memory serves me right, there were quite a few Jocks mixed in with us and I remember giving some verbal to a particularly pissed one who thought it was brilliant that a 7 year old had a bit of banter. After congratulating me and patting my head, he then proceeded to fall arse over tits over 3 rows of seats but spilt none of his can of Tartan lager when he eventually emerged. Proper football.
