Good move.
We've got plenty of strikers now and sending him to Preston we will be able to see if he can do it at this level.
If he scores 20 he'll be worth £10m in May at the current stupid prices being paid.

I think Doyle will out score Mason over the season but think Mason will be more and more effective as the season goes on with creating space and helping us play football on the floor

A shocking piece of business by the club.
Doyle is miles better than Macheda or Ravell and is more of a goal scorer than Mason.
The club always seem to offload the better strikers, e.g. Guerra, Le Fondre, Doyle and they have been desperate to offload Jones. Bizarre when you retain players of the calibre if Macheda and Ravell.

Eoin Doyle will be reunited with former Chesterfield team-mate Daniel Johnson when he gets to pull on a lilywhite shirt for the first time.
The two had a successful link-up at the ProAct Stadium last season, including the game at Deepdale where Johnson set up two of the Irishman’s three goals in a six-goal thriller.
And when the new PNE No.13 spoke to PNE Player this was something he was thoroughly excited about.
“‘Jonno’ was magic when we were at Chesterfield together,” he told the Club’s online TV channel. “He set up so many for me.
“He can see a pass and I am looking forward to joining up with him again.”
The move from the Cardiff City Stadium was concluded in the last hour before the window slammed shut, taking extra time due to the need for international clearance from Wales, but he admitted that his own decision to come to Lancashire was not a hard one.
“Once I heard the interest was there I was very keen to get this deal over the line,” he continued. “The last time I was here was a great night for me and I am looking forward to getting back out on Deepdale.
“I am very grateful of a second opportunity to come here and hopefully I can contribute to the team, get in the side and then get in amongst the goals.
“It is nice to know the manager has confidence in me. It will be tough getting in the team, but I am really looking forward to. The competition brings the level up and makes you put that extra yard in.”

That's a fact. Doyle is a proven goal scorer and would offer a lot more than Macheda and Ravell. Like Guerra he has had no chance for a run in the team. Perhaps you are blinkered by the Slade 'love in' !

Good move, Slade doesn't seem to rating him so may as well send him out on loan and hope he does well.
