Yes, there were many on here saying that bruno, jones and marshall were certainties to leave by the end of the window and tan would sell anything which wasn't nailed down.

I will agree to disagree on tan wants out annis but it does show that city don't need to sell playersForever Blue wrote:wez1927 wrote:I think this summer has proved that Cardiff mean business this year ,keeping our stars is just as important than buying new players. Wez, Tan wants out,I stand by that.
As to Mason, City never received a £4mill bid
There were NO proper bids for City players other than Marshall a fact.
I am more than happy we held on to Marshall,Jones etc![]()

A more likely strategy would be to try to get the team back in the prem, only this time by slowly building a team with sensible investing and not spending silly money.
We should all be pleased with that.

And if we go up he'll get a very good price and most of his money back.
Worth noting player values have increased again in the last 12 months.
Silly money.
The value of our squad has risen by £10m IMHO in the last 6 months with little justification, just the fact that there is the chance of a fortune for any team which can go up.
With the riches of the Prem I reckon Tan could - if he wrote the debt off get a decent sum for this club in the prem, getting back most of what he put in.

He seems to be here for the long haul and wants to stay committed after the initial investment. Credit where its due and I will hold my hands up and say I was wrong. In life sometimes you are wrong and that is the way it goes. Let's just hope now his faith in Slade is what takes us up and if it does then you can fault the guy. He didn't jump ship in the face of adversity and stuck at it, just like a fan would.
