Marvin Sordell????

Marvin Sordell has today been given a free transfer by Burnley. I think he would be a gamble worth taking, cause if we can get him playing to the level that he was for Watford, a couple of seasons ago. Then we will have a very good Championship striker on our hands and a striker that can score goals in this division. He wasn't really given a chance at Burnley and during his entire time there, he was never given a good run in the team and he never had the chance to show them, the goal scoring striker that he had become at Watford. He needed a similar run to what Adam Le Fondre had up front for us last season. If Sordell had of been picked for 22/23 consecutive games and if he had of had the full backing and support of his manager, just like Le Fondre did during his run of games in the team. Then I think Sordell would have definitely scored at least 12 goals in 22/23 games. Sordell has the pace, the physicality, the determination, the work rate, the composure and many other positive attributes, that make him a very good Championship, goal scoring striker. I think he would be a great replacement for Doyle, if he leaves. Especially with Sordell now available on a free transfer.

I agree we need pace. On you-tube it looked like Saadi was pretty quick, but it could've been speeded up to impress interested parties. For Burnley to get rid of Sordell, it doesn't sound like he's got the right attitude.
