Leeds after Noone?

Tue Sep 01, 2015 2:02 pm

Leeds have already completed the signing of one winger today, in the form of the Congolese speedster Jordan Botaka from
Excelsior, on a two-year deal

The club are now looking to further strengthen their squad with another winger, with names including Jamie Paterson, Lloyd Dyer and Will Buckley, with the latter being completely called off.

Leeds have had a fantastic summer window that has seen the club heavily invest in strengthening the areas of the squad that looked weak. Most identifiably was the lack of speed and width the club possessed within their squad.

Leeds United could be set to conclude their transfer window with the signing of Cardiff City winger Craig Noone, according to Italian Journalist Ema Giulianelli.

The Yorkshire club were forced to deploy young full backs Charlie Taylor and Sam Byram into the midfield roles, with Byram keeping his place as a midfielder this season.

Since signing Stuart Dallas and Jordan Botaka to give the squad some true width, the club now look set to continue their recruitment with the potential signing of Craig Noone.

Noone has fallen out of favour at Cardiff and a move to Leeds United could be the perfect way to revive his career.

The former Southport, Plymouth and Brighton player is known for his inept skill and tricky ball control and could be a perfect star for a Championship side that can give him play time and some confidence.

At 27, Noone has an opportunity to join a very progressive side that are looking to challenge for a top ten position, play-offs at a push and become a cult hero for the club.
