Manchester United FC set to sign Newport County and ex-Cardiff City teenager Regan Poole.

The Wales under-17 international became the youngest player to turn out for County when he made his debut at the age of 16 years and 94 days on 20 September 2014.
Newport County teenager Regan Poole is set to sign for Manchester United in a deal which could be worth up to £400,000 for the Welsh club.
The highly-rated 17-year-old, who was on Cardiff City’s books, had been training with Louis van Gaal’s United and Liverpool previously and had also been the subject of a failed bid by Fulham.
However, he is now travelling to United’s Carrington training ground for a medical with a view to putting pen to paper.
It seems Man Utd’s gain will be Cardiff’s loss, with Poole a former youth Academy player at the Bluebirds before slipping through the net.

He has gone on to make 17 appearances for Newport and started what looks like his last game for new Exiles boss Terry Butcher on August 22, in their 3-2 home defeat to Leyton Orient in League Two.
Poole, from Cardiff, departed the Bluebirds youth Academy to become a scholar at Newport in June 2014.
Shrewd pundits have stated he is a footballing centre-half who will go right to the very top... and he looks like going to Britain’s biggest club.
