" CARDIFF CITY ARE ADAMANT"

Cardiff City are adamant goalkeeper David Marshall will not join West Bromwich Albion before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.

A senior Bluebirds source told BBC Wales Sport the Scotland number one is staying at Cardiff City Stadium.

Cardiff have rebuffed the Premier League side's attempts to negotiate over a fee, with the Bluebirds not budging on a price tag just over £5m.

But Cardiff's stance appears to have hardened over the last few days.

Marshall played a starring role in the 2-1 Championship victory away to Nottingham Forest, after which manager Russell Slade reiterated his view he did not think the goalkeeper would be allowed to leave.

"I can't see anything happening," Slade said.

"I've said all along that we don't want to lose our quality players and that's what David is."

And you're wise not to.

Money talks and if West Brom increase their offer sufficiently I can see Slade's wishes being completed disregarded by the decision makers at the club.
