'Don't get carried away/Great start'

I'm firmly :sladein: and extremely pleased with our start to the season, and no reason why we can't feel pleased and excited, but let's not get too carried away. The season is not decided after a month, and it's only a start, but we have laid down foundations and it's nice to feel proud of a City team again.

Come on Russell Slade's barmy army. :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :sladein:

Fully agree.
We have achieved nothing other than a good start, or where slade expected us to be....ie top. 6.

Plenty to to build on but the season is yet to settle down.

Spot on James.

As you say, it's a very good start but there's still 41 games to go.

I've always been in the Slade Out camp, but can't complain with the start to the season. Said I'd judge him on the first 10 league games of this season, and we're halfway there with an unbeaten record that sees us 5th in the league.

Let's not forget one vital thing as well, many of us prior to the season starting had low expectations for us this year. If we start to look like we will do well, people will begin to expect top 6 and promotion. If at some point we then start to lose points and go back down the table it will almost seem harder to take and everyone will start moaning again ever more. Nothing wrong with dreaming about where we could end up and also having certain expectations of the club but let's just see. Never expect too much too soon. Wait to see where we are after Xmas. Having said all this - if we actually do achieve something this season in terms of promotion this year it'll be the best year of supporting city ever! Reason being we have our identity back!
