Key players must stay

Sat Aug 29, 2015 4:18 pm

Maybe a few weeks ago the departures of kj and marshall looking likely were not seen as a disaster for a side expected to just fumble through the division, do you think the last few weeks has changed things? I do, I think it's now a priority we keep these two players if we are serious about a promotion challenge. Early days no doubt and not getting carried away but steady progress and things change very quickly in football. :bluescarf:

Definitely :ayatollah: otherwise we are back to scratch and end up having to try and rebuild again :ayatollah:

Definetly 100% agree. I am the first to admit i hated Jones with a passion last season but i am big enough to admit that with a style of play that's more attractive to watch and doesn't just involve hoof it up to Kenwyn i am happy to do a 'u' turn and agree that he is and will be a massive plus to the squad this season. Selling Marshall was always going to be a foolish in my opinion, he is worth to many points over the season, just look at the games played already, no disrespect to Moore but we would probably be top 2 now if Marshall had played all games.

If the top management are serious about pushing for promotion this season then Jones and Marshall must stay. Letting either one of them go will send a wrong message and for sure have a detrimental effect on the rest of the squad and all of us for that matter!
