Cardiff City manager Russell Slade has given striker Kenwyne Jones a "fighting man's chance" of being available to face the Reds.

Jones scored in last Saturday's 2-0 Championship victory over Wolves, then suffered an ankle injury and missed the Capital One Cup defeat against MK Dons on Tuesday night.

City are unbeaten in the league and a fit-again Jones would inevitably increase prospects of them keeping that run going.

""He has a fighting man's chance of playing at Forest," Slade told Wales Online. "He is having treatment and we are hopeful."

Because we're paying 36 k plus adds ons which adds up to 50 k a week for him, ridiculous IMO, but as I said he's our best striker so hopefully he's available.
