On a day when City unveiled the "underwhelming" signing of Gabriel Tamas I returned to the scene of my viewing of City's overturning of Wolves.
Santa Ponsa was full of depressed and hungover Bhoys fans yesterday following their champions league succumbing to Malmo, a team that many of the older City fans including Annis

will remember losing to Forest many years ago in the European Cup Final.
I'd been nagged by my daughters to go back to Santa Ponsa for two reasons, an hour out at sea on a Pedalo and then a "quiet" pint with Annis and Mason aka Santa Ponsa Blue and Aunty And.
The Pedalo, a spot of lunch at the local Chinese and then a two hour cruise around the beautiful Majorca coastline including a dip in the blue sea with several obnoxious Germans and a few jelly fish got the day time part of my holiday off to a great conclusion, and then we disappeared off to the Astro Bar for a cheeky pint of Cruzcampo whilst watching a drab replay of Arsenal vs Chelsea ladies on the big screen. Just as the final whistle went a sound of sirens rang out across the resort - appears that a young lady was involved in a minor road accident but fortunately all seemed fine.
Then on to the scene of the enjoyable win over Wolves, the Cheers Bar where Annis was already congregated with cast of several locals and expats from Cardiff and Denmark (sick fart I believe). The one intended pint then turned in to several beers and super strength G&Ts before Annis and Mason kindly extended the invite for dinner at the aforementioned Astro bar and a traditional chick pen curry arf and arf, delicious. The meal was interrupted briefly by the impressive spotting of certain DJ Campbell formally of a host of clubs including Blackpool and Birmingham but not of the mighty Maidenhead of Wiki is to believed. DJ was initially reluctant to interact with us but an excited Annis and Mason did manage a brief chat with the former superstar, I didn't mention or remind Annis of the dodgy handball goal that DJ scored for Ipswich a couple of years back as it may have been the proverbial red rag to the bull.
Tiny mention for the football taking a little more of a back seat last night aside from the Bruges vs Man U game being in the big screen in the background.
Annis has a good crop of friends in Santa Ponsa and if I ever strike it lucky with Camelot it's a very enjoyable resort with some great former Cardiffians now calling it home. Also a shout out for Carl again who I spoke to briefly although I'd hate to see what kind of bill him and Annis drum up each month!!!!
Also a mention for Dean from Torquay who seems to have been living there for ever with what must be described as the darkest tan I have ever seen although with him having a jacuzzi in his bedroom I'm not sure he has the time to get out much in between sessions in that and time out on the golf course. Was a little worried that Annis has been in Deans bedroom and hopefully NOT the jacuzzi Mr A.

Also enjoyed the company of Mason's immediate and extended family too and also Scot, ironically from Scotland and Alby who I have promised I will now send some tea bags and also some of those peas we make mushy peas from, I sense an opportunity for a decent chip shop in Santa P.
Also appears that Annis is actually called Nannis in Majorcan. Nannis, Nannis who the F is Nannis
The boys seemed to have a plan for more golf this AM but with many of them appearing to have a major thumb print on their foreheads from their other halfs it seems that Annis (who was given a pass by his good lady) may be left playing a round with himself today, much needed practice on both his short and long game, although I have a concern that he was rumoured to have needed to replace divots whilst putting yesterday.
Great finale to the holiday and a big thankyou to my wife Emma too for taxiing us from Palma to SP and doing the return journey twice with me a little worse for wear. Annis and Mason thanks for company and also attaching a copy of a rather fetching apron being modelled by Mason's old man, Paul. There was an even worse apron modelled by Alby which fortunately/unfortunately I don't have a picture of.
Great holiday, great memories and now back in the UK, cloudy and cold but enjoying a PG tips cuppa and a couple of digestives.
