If you know who this player is in talks could you confirm is he

1. A pacey striker who can hopefully get 20 goals a season
2. A midfielder who can chip in with a few goals
3. A centre half because we seem to be a bit short of those
4. None of the above.

I could have written this.

Any incoming player at this stage has to be an upgrade or at least a credible backup. My worry is a lack of funding is likely to be either a mediocre player or a pay-per-play mature player who will cost to feature. Hope the money is there to make it viable.

The fee element means we aren't interested in Nolan, surely? Though he could be bluffing , like he was about Tamas! In my opinion, Nolan would get more goals than Mason and could play in that role if we sign a pacey striker.
