I've spoken to many of the players and Marshall not once asked to leave City,never went to the manager etc until he was called in and told there was a chance WBA could be buying him. If your told your club was willing to talk to WBA, what are you suppose to do?

Marshalls mind was totally focused on just doing his job for City.

Marshall, loves living in Cardiff,playing for Cardiff City and his family is very happy here.

Marshals just had his new house built,his Wife loves it here and his children are settled in School and to add to that Marshall is a massive family man

Marshall, is one of our highest paid players on about £25,000 a week plus bonuses etc so there is no problem about wages etc at Cardiff. He is our NO1 so that's what also matters to Marshall

Of course Premiership football would of interested him,but also his families happiness comes first and I repeat again at no point did Marshall ever ask or push to leave City

If Marshalls had been sold to WBA,his family would of remained in Cardiff.

Let's hope that WBA or any other club don't give City's asking price of £5million in cash as then it's out of Marshalls hands.

I know this sounds strange but Marshall has earned the right to do what is best for him. Even if he had asked to leave I wouldn't have held it against him. He's served more than his time with us and given more than he had to. I've got loads of respect for the bloke both as a player and as a man. If he stays, great news. Agreed. He should be respected in whatever choice he makes. It is his (and his families) life and he must do what is right for him/them.
He is respectful and not a mercenary who is just out for the money.

David, the Club just want as much money as possible brought in and if Marshall does not go this transfer, Inwould not be surprised if they fold him in the next transfer market.

How do work out club is forcing him out? Just curious as have not seen anything written to indicate this fact.

It's not out of David Marshall's hands as long as he's got a contract. He can stay here, no matter what the club want. I hope he stays.

Agree with the above. A player only moves if he wants to. The club can accept a bid but that is only part one, it is then down to the player a) if he wants to go, and b) if he agrees personal terms. If we had a £15m bid accepted by Man United for Adnan Januzaj - do you think he would come? No chance.

If Marshall is sold then he clearly would have also wanted to go.

People often label footballers as greedy mercenaries, but we've been lucky at Cardif, to have seen players in recent years who never wanted to leave and never tried to manufacture transfers out of the club. Marshall, Whitts, McNaughton and Hudson. I have huge respect for these, as players and men. If Marshall still ends up leaving, I'd wish him all the luck in the world.

I wouldn't blame him if he went he given his all for us and is a club legend and now it looks likely he will be staying.
