Reports coming from WHU that Kevin Nolan has left the club.
Is he that midfielder?

Would be an excellent signing, really can't see it materialising though.

Doesn't really fit into the 442 and would be on a big wage.
Unless slade plans on a formation change.

We are lacking an experienced leader and Slade hasn't named an official captain.....?
Or am I putting two and two together and getting one?!?

Want it to happen but it never would

Past his best long ago.
High wages.
It sounds nice on paper but realistically it's a bad idea

http://www.whufc.com/News/Articles/2015/August/27-August/Nolan-departsThis has now been confirmed on their official website.
I think he is the closest thing to the midfielder that Annis and Carl were talking about a couple of weeks ago.
I think they suggested that he was apparently waiting for money from his current club before his future was resolved. This seems to fit.

A box to box center midfielder who doesn't fit into a 442?
He's played most of his career in a 442

You do know he is 33 now, if people think they are going to see Nolan getting up and down the pitch likes he used to then I think they will be massively disappointed.

He can still play in a 442 though.
Or change to 4231
Pelts, manga, Morrison, Malone
Whitts, dikgacoi
Noone, Nolan, Ameobi
Jones

Ideally if slade would change from a 442, I don't see that happening tho.

By Giuseppe Labellarte, Reporter
Last Updated: Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 20:52 UK
Former West Ham United captain Kevin Nolan is on the radar of Cardiff City, according to reports.
The 33-year-old left Upton Park on Thursday morning by mutual consent after four years with the Hammers, with manager Slaven Bilic citing a lack of playing time as the main reason behind his departure.
According to Wales Online, Nolan has been in talks with the Bluebirds over a potential move to the Cardiff City Stadium.
The veteran midfielder joined the Hammers from Newcastle United in summer 2011, scoring 31 goals in 157 games in the last four seasons.
