Cardiff City have signed Romanian international defender Gabriel Tamas on a one-year deal.
The former Watford and West Brom man, 31, has made 65 appearances for his country and had a brief trial stint with the Bluebirds last week.
And despite boss Russell Slade seemingly ruling out a deal at his press conference last Friday, Tamas has now penned a deal in the Welsh capital until the end of the season with the option of a further year.
Tamas trained with Cardiff ahead of last Saturday's 2-0 win over Wolves with Slade impressed by the player's ability to play across the back four and also in midfield.
The deal means Tamas becomes Slade's third summer signing following the capture of former Arsenal centre-half Semi Ajayi and the loan move for Newcastle United forward Sammy Ameobi.
More to follow.
Welcome to Cardiff City, Gabriel.
