On new signings - When I asked him about singings he said we're in talks with a striker, wouldn't give me a name but he said he wasn't English and that's all I could get out of him. He said every club is asking silly money at the moment and alot of business will go down to the last 3/4 days of the window.

On Marshall - he said the club don't want to sell him. That 5 million is nothing to us because we'd have to spend money to replace him and it wouldn't be worth loosing him. Neither the club nor Marshall are either 'looking' or 'pushing' for a transfer. However, the club accept that every player has a price and IF that is met, Marshall will be allowed to talk to West Brom IF he chooses, which (I am again reliably told) he is prepared to do should City accept an offer at any stage, BUT it is in no way certain that he will agree to leave, as (a) he is happy at Cardiff City FC, (b) his family are exceptionally happy and settled in Cardiff, and (c) he doesn't want to put his Scotland international position in jeopardy

An awful long way to go IF this so-called move is to come to fruition and West Brom simply meeting the SET asking price (which they have failed to do so far) will by no means guarantee the departure of our much needed No.1

Fair enough, when you put it like that it looks unlikely. But the draw of more money and Pl has a funny way of effecting players, it'll still come down to marshal if the offer and contracts right.

I honestly believe if WBA offered the full £5million City would sell him in a flash, Marshall not once has asked to move.

Paul, Choo didn't say Marshall was forcing the issue or had asked for a transfer, did he?

So, to be fair, nubby has made his own 'assumption' and (with some knowledge on the matter) I can confidently say as things currently stand Marshall has NOT asked for a transfer and doesn't intend to

A 'play with words' from Choo. The club are not forcing him out and don't particularly 'want' to sell him, so have raised the bar on price to make things interesting if WBA REALLY want our star player

One thing that is for certain is that the club will let Marshall decide for himself in event of City's 'fixed' price and conditions being met before the deadline

There would be a LOT for Marshall to consider for footballing and family reasons before he would make that leap, IF it were to be offered, which to date it certainly has not

His family are settled and he has his international career to think about and it may not be best served by playing second fiddle at West Bromwich Albion (or anywhere else)

Marshall is being pretty relaxed about the whole situation and getting on with his job of playing for Cardiff City FC, like the tue professional he is

Thankfully for us DM has played in the Premier League and realises its not the be all and end all. He is happy playing for us, he and his family are very happy living in the Cardiff area. If he goes it will be because it will be an offer we can't turn down.
