Considering we didn't play our usual starting line up, seemed well in control for the majority of the game until they equalised and only lost because the majority of our players have had a lack of game time and match fitness so far this season, I'm not too disheartened at all. Tonight was a good opportunity for players who haven't featured to have a run out. We were never going to win this cup anyway and now we can concentrate on the league. Of course, it would have been nice if we progressed, but lets face it, this cup competition is only useful for giving our fringe players/reserves a run out.

I'm pretty sure you'd complain if our league season was disrupted by injuries and fatigue because of the cup yet it's easier to say 'lets win everything'

If our season gets disrupted by injuries and fatigue then that has bugger all to do with the competitions we are in and everything to do with:

a) lack of squad depth
b) lack of versatility
c) lack of fitness through training regimes

If you put out a more than capable team and a few of them just really cant be bothered then there's problems. Maybe its Slade, maybe it isn't. Maybe some players really need to sort themselves out and take more responsibility for their position in the team.

Ah you're right a team containing Joe Lewis, McNaughton, Nugent, Fillip Kiss and Velikonja, are good to lose to a Blue Square Premier team. While Cardiff play against a team in the same league and should have won really but lose and it's all about the Slade and Team Bashing, that's not one rule for one and not the other at all.

Unbeaten in the league, with what looked to be a very tricky start. A team who look like they give a shit, a better atmosphere in the ground now the plastics have gone, thats why im really enjoying our start to the season

The FANS aren't staying away. Its the ones that only turn up when we are doing well that are staying away. Yes of course there are anti tan fans that are also staying away, which is perfectly understandable given the way he's behaved up until last year, but the majority of the 10,000+ that have buggered off have done so because they were never really City fans anyway.

a win and we would have a home tie against southhampton---but there again the club does not need the money does it?
