So did the other teams that have exit the cup have given their fans a reason to stay away have they? its only the cup ffs.

'Its only the cup'.
Laughable attitude. We should be trying to win everything.
'Its only...' = the attitude of natural born losers.

Considering we didn't play our usual starting line up, seemed well in control for the majority of the game until they equalised and only lost because the majority of our players have had a lack of game time and match fitness so far this season, I'm not too disheartened at all. Tonight was a good opportunity for players who haven't featured to have a run out. We were never going to win this cup anyway and now we can concentrate on the league. Of course, it would have been nice if we progressed, but lets face it, this cup competition is only useful for giving our fringe players/reserves a run out.

Uh no it isn't you put into consideration that things are more important to win than others like League games our bread and butter .

I'm pretty sure you'd complain if our league season was disrupted by injuries and fatigue because of the cup yet it's easier to say 'lets win everything'

If our season gets disrupted by injuries and fatigue then that has bugger all to do with the competitions we are in and everything to do with:
a) lack of squad depth
b) lack of versatility
c) lack of fitness through training regimes
You play to win everything. Face it, if we had won tonight you'd have been well happy to be a round closer to Wembley. You're only saying 'its only the cup' cause we got knocked out by some B grade replica Wimbledon.

What a stupid tosser you are, I bet you've been waiting to say that since before the season started, if you are so against the club f**k off and don't come back. Fed up of these ignorant arseholes who claim to be Cardiff "supporters".

Slade didn't stick the youths out tonight though. It was a fairly strong side.

So it's ok to try and not win as long as you play the youth squad?

No. If you put out a youth squad you still want to win but if they fall short its understandable as they are learning. If you put out a more than capable team and a few of them just really cant be bothered then there's problems. Maybe its Slade, maybe it isn't. Maybe some players really need to sort themselves out and take more responsibility for their position in the team.

Ah you're right a team containing Joe Lewis, McNaughton, Nugent, Fillip Kiss and Velikonja, are good to lose to a Blue Square Premier team. While Cardiff play against a team in the same league and should have won really but lose and it's all about the Slade and Team Bashing, that's not one rule for one and not the other at all.

Get a grip FFS.
Yeah, would have been nice to win, but the focus must always be the league, in which we are unbeaten.
Fans who do not want to turn up will always find an excuse - I will support my team, my manager and my club whatever
Wed Aug 26, 2015 9:20 am
Not sure what the op is saying or what relevance it has to attendances? win matches in league crowds improve, win cup games nothing happens unless get final or draw man u ect, lots champ clubs went out 1st rnd to lower league clubs so on that basis they must be struggling more to attract crowds!

we should have won last night but didnt next stop forest!
Wed Aug 26, 2015 9:35 am
What ? Because we lost ?
So you saying our fans only support a winning team?
What a joke!
Wed Aug 26, 2015 11:21 am

I think you've just 'soiled' youself, fella!
For those that were there, including me it was a good display for most of the game by the City team
If the only criteria you go on is the 'result' then you should support Chelsea or Man City or (better still for winning-most teams)Glasgow Celtic in the one-team league, if you don't already!

You have pretty much summed yourself up as a 'fan' then. See you if we have a bit of success in the future

....and the club wonders why the fans are staying away?
The FANS aren't staying away. Its the ones that only turn up when we are doing well that are staying away. Yes of course there are anti tan fans that are also staying away, which is perfectly understandable given the way he's behaved up until last year, but the majority of the 10,000+ that have buggered off have done so because they were never really City fans anyway.

a win and we would have a home tie against southhampton---but there again the club does not need the money does it?
