FABIO top of the class after Wolves win as Peltier and Pilkington fail to impress supporters

The Bluebirds full-back impressed you the most against Wolves with scorers Kenwyne Jones and Sammy Ameobi not far behind

They might have both scored goals in the 2-0 win over Wolves, but both Kenwyne Jones and Sammy Ameobi had to play second fiddle to a defender in Cardiff City fans' ratings.

That's because it was Fabio – who came in at left back for the victory in the Welsh capital – and was top of the the shop according to Bluebirds supporters.

Kenwyne Jones also impressed Cardiff fans against Wolves

The former Manchester United full-back polled a rating of 8.2 out of 10 in our WalesOnline vote with Jones and Ameobi – who netted in either half – just behind.

Matt Connolly and Joe Ralls, who have both started the season in impressive fashion, also recorded decent scores though there was less praise for Anthony Pilkington and Lee Peliter who didn't impress those watching on.

Anthony Pilkington

Winger Pilkington was bottom of the class with just 5.7 out of 10 with Fabio's fellow full-back Peltier not much better off.

Never been much of a peltier fan, solid but I don't think he offers enough throughout. Fabio and Malone for me.

Wolves threat was down their right and i reckon they tried to pick on our left, giving fabs and ralls ample opportunity to get stuck in. I can barely recall any attacks down our right from either side. Peltier can only do what he can do.

Another point to make is Whitts will always prefer the right to left pass and he is our main play maker.

Fabs got away with a few yesterday and the footballing gods were with us, Peltier gives us a little more rugged hardness which was missing before he arrived.

To say they they failed to impress when they never had a real shot on goal is taking it a bit far

I can understand why Fabio got so many votes as he had an all action display including having the assist for the first goal. I love his energy but he does give the ball away a lot. I wonder what his pass completion stat is?

Only 59% pass completion, take a look at this website - http://www.whoscored.com/Matches/959267/Live - it's reliable for statistics and tries to generate ratings for players performances even though it can be disagreeable sometimes. They do agree though that Fabio was the best Cardiff player :)

Fabio easily motm for me.

Slightly harsh on Peltier, it was great to see him take it upon himself to hassle one of the Wolves players at the end and get a tackle in and played Mason in.. considering he played the full game he showed great energy to bust a gut for the team.

Peltier didn't do too badly. He's been poor in other games this season but didn't think he did an awful lot wrong in this one.

All about opinions I guess.

Pilkington has played well so far this season, but that was his worst game so far, maybe Noone will now get his first start ???

Its good to have some competition for a settled side !!!
