Good result yesterday, and a decent start to the season if I'm honest.
We look a lot more together as a unit, solid, look hard to break down and to have a good season (whatever your own personal view of what consists of a good season is) you need to be difficult to beat (the season we went up I think we lost 8 league games all season and I don't think we lost two on the spin. I may be wrong but without looking I hope I'm right!)
Yesterday Wolves were poor. That said you can only beat what's in front of you and we did.
The only thing that worries me is the lack of pace. Mason isn't quick. Kenwynne (who I thought was a handful all game) isn't quick. Pilks isn't quick. In fact the only one on the pitch who has got some after burners was Fabio.
If we are going to bring in anyone before Sept 1st deadline please find a couple of slick attack minded players - and if one happens to bang in 20 goals this season alongside Jones then that'll be a bonus.
Clearly Revell is willing but not first choice. Doyle is out of favour for whatever reason and Mason isn't setting the world alight, missing the few chances being presented to him.
Noone is quick but again out of favour, Kadeem has gone out on loan, Sammy isn't lightning, so a flyer out wide and a flyer up front and you never know we may surprise a few this year.
I was one of the many who didn't want Slade, but he's doing ok so far and long may it continue.
