I'd be rich if I was given a £1 for EVERYTIME I heard someone say slade is clueless or slade out etc. yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that includes myself. I can make up my own mind whether I think slade is any good or not. Last season saw us hit quite a low but it could have been worse. I think we have improved but it seems that some fans would still not support slade if we got promoted? What's all that about? Do u know something about slade that is terrible? Is he a previous serial killer or a racist or something? It's like as if people have decided they don't like him very soon after his appointment but I think it would make it even more incredible if he took us up. He hasnt had the same financial support as Malky did (I don't know the exact financials but that side of things is obvious). I am not slade's biggest fan in the world but come on, to sit and watch a match and hear fans shouting clueless and worse name calling than that is somewhat annoying, Infact it quite embarrising and I don't really want to be associated with such people. I'm not talking just a one off match but most matches I go to this happens. People says he's a PE teacher that should stay as a PE teacher - well I'm sorry but he's obviously had something about him to work his way up to managing league 1 in the first place! My personal opinion is that he is a dark horse and perhaps will become successful at some point. What I want to know is why do people hate him so much? Is it because of who recruited him? Is he a bad person? Is he a bad manager - well not too bad so far? People want to see him fail but I want to see him and cardiff City do well and I would love it if he got us a successful season to silence some critics. Well done to fans who sung do the ayatollah Russell yesterday. I don't think anyone can predict how the season will pan out - we could be poor, we could be mediocre, we could go close or we could go up! Time will tell and if we are mediocre or below than yes he may need to be replaced but at present he is our manager end of! If we had a manager who was perfect - for example a top name that we had all heard of before, top of the league, proven in the championship and lower premier league - they would probably cost a lot more and we would find something else to moan about then! Why do our fans complain so much? Yes we all expect expect expect but there are plenty of other teams in our league and we can't always be at the top!

Your write some fans refuse to support slade even if he got us promoted and have said so on here. Because there not real fans and they are too concerned about your own stubborness to change their opinion on something

I would hope that no City fan wants Slade to fail. I can't imagine any true fan wanting to see us underperform to prove a point. I think there are plenty of fans (myself included) who have our doubts as far as play offs are concerned. I still think he has been brought in to keep us in this division while cutting costs. I have said that if he succeeds in improving the finances and keeps us in the Championship he will have done what was asked of him. At the moment it's way too early to know what will happen. One win does'nt make everything ok, and one defeat does'nt mean everyone should be calling for him to go. It will be a while yet before we can judge him fairly, and the only ones likely to be disappointed are the fans who have unrealistic expectations.

After reading you're 3 page essay, I feel I must take issue with the word "hate" I criticise Slade because I still think he is out of his depth, not because I hate him,how can anyone hate someone they don't know,it was a good result yesterday, but for me the jury is still out regarding Slade

The slade haters shouldn't really be taken too seriously, sycophants mostly..slade was on a loser from day one because he's just not famous enough for them...OGS didn't get abuse before he took over even though he only managed lower standard football..but he had the all important big name...don't post that often for this reason, but it's good to read some sense sometimes

Hate Slade? Grow up. I just don't believe he is the man to take the club up. If our ambitions are to steady the ship in the championship then he is the man for the job. He is an average manager and we are an average team in this league. Mid table is where I expect us to end up. If he exceeds that then great. If he doesn't then we take that as it comes. However, this current reactionist nonsense is laughable. We win one game Slade is a hero. We lose the next and its his fault. At the moment we've got 6/12 and we are doing just as I and many others expected. I can still think Slade is clueless in respect of having the ability to take us up, but he has time to learn. If he takes us up then fair enough, I'll admit I was wrong, but I can't see it. The fans saying they hate him and want him out no matter what are just as clueless as the ones getting excited like kids on Christmas eve because we won one blooming game.

Slade's a genius. Compared to his Norwegian predecessor.

Finally a bit realism.

Agree with this, I'd love nothing more than slade to prove me wrong I just don't think he is the man to get us challenging at the top end of the championship, under slade I think we will be midtable at best

Yes. It's I've seen it alot, must be something else we're known for. And we're British. We moan about everything.

No one should want Slade to fail and I can't see how anyone would hate Slade?
But fans are allowed their opinions on him as a manager

Do many of our fans just want something to hate? Yep all fans do up and down the country
