Now let's look at the results so far, can I complain after yesterday, no losses, nicely early placed, well yes actually and somehwat disappointed as well.
Because I've watched a lot of the championship so far and to be honest, a lot of teams have disappointed me, none more so than Wolves and QPR last week. Now I know it's early days and many teams are blending and finding their feet but actually at this moment in time I'm not sure who is going to roll us over - can we play another 5 league games during the international break? So that's a positive isn't it?
So let's move on to the team, well it doesn't take a genius to see why Jones makes the team tick, the amount of work Mason does (but Slade should have hauled him off with 15 to go, he was out on his feet!) - sounds like he's been to Dave the Moans school of manager substitutions!
Ralls, again outstanding, Fabio was man of the match for me by a mile, a country mile!
I didn't think I'd be saying this but we should win at Forrest, but I still think we need some more quality in midfield and up front and I think some of Slade's signings need to be moved out to make way - bite the bullet uncle fester, shit happens!
So overall not bad but the teams we have come up against haven't set the world alight yet (and to be honest, Wolves were poor yesterday) but I'll give credit there that city found them out and turned them over - and kept their star striker quiet, very quiet.
So not excited about it yet, still think some city players are no more than league 1 and some should be moved on.
Shame about the international break, we could have kept rolling.......................

Or you just might(perish the thought)be wrong in your assesment of Slade. If this was Malky's side a certain section of fans would now be queing up to give him a blow job.Yesterdays game was better to watch than anything Malkys side dished up.I'm not convinced yet that Slade is the man to lead us out of this division but he seems to be taking his chance at the moment.

We are more difficult to break down we move the ball nicely and create more space or close the space depending on attack or defence. I've been to every game this season apart from Blackburn and we are improving each time.
Yesterday we stopped wolves from playing, there's a reason they didn't get a shot on target and it was from great work in midfield which eased the defence jobs. Even whitts made some great tackles. And when the defence was called upon they delivered. Can't think of anyone who had a poor game

poor - because they have been. I can't argue about yesterday, as I said above, and with Manga back, can only improve defensively. Still not sure about some other areas but only time will tell once the transfer window shuts.

I'm not going to change my mind just because he gets success, I don't like him, but then again I don't like my mother in law.
I think with a better manager we would get far more out of this team, but that's just my view, it doesn't count for anything other than my view. I don't agree with most of his signings, proven yesterday as the team was basically last years squad, and those to come back!
Good luck to him, he's got an unbeaten team, in the top ten and still a chance of off-loading and bringing in more experience, he just doesn't do it for me.

If Slade took us up with the restrictions put upon him and you still cannot like what he did then you do not deserve an opinion and should ask administrators to delete your post.
Most people who didn't want him as a manager (me included) would be strong enough to admit they were wrong, but you are obviously not that strong. It's not as if he is a bad manager with a tonne of money to spend where EVERYONE would succeed.
You are showing classic symptoms of transference. There is a period in your life that you remember with hatred or sadness and Slade, for some reason, reminds you of that.
There is no reason to not like him if he does good but you will not recognise it.

Then you basically agree that your stubbornness outweighs our sense, because even if he got us promoted you'd still rather not change your mind to save face.
The fact it was mainly last years players is maybe even more of a testament towards him, because he's taken these players who were underperforming, low on confidence and in some cases just hopeless and started to make an organised team out of them that's picking up points!
