Seem in the usual price range . Don't foget to factor in the extra insurance cost as well mine cost me an extra £140 pa Only did it because a friend of mine did not inform his insurance company and they did not have to pay out he lost about 25k because of it

Done mine myself with bluefin, its as easy as plugging the console they send you into your ecu socket, it copy's the standard map thats already in there then uploads the new map into the management system, very easy and all done in under an hour, benefits of purchasing it yourself is that you can swap it back to standard and back as many times as you want for warranty and insurance purposes, i had a gain of 75hp of my focus

I used Longlife in Caerphilly ( http://www.longlifecaerphilly.co.uk/ ) and went for a combined improvement in fuel economy as well as better power at low revs (for towing). As for insurance in what circumstances will the insurance company know that the ECU has been re-mapped? I can now get 47mph on a motorway run from a 2.5 tdi

Any idea how the insurance Company discovered his car had been remapped?

Only traceable if you have one of the plug in ECU.
Had my T5 remapped by chap in Bridgend. Very surprised how much better it is on fuel and acceleration
Recommended to me and has done other work since
Had it done with cam belt change so he charged me £150 instead of £225. Cam belt with water pump incl fit was £250.
I've got the details in van if any one wants number etc
